AnimeSuki Forum hacked
Dear Kunota
We regret to inform you that in early May the AnimeSuki Forum was attacked and
those responsible were able to download our user database, including usernames,
email addresses, encrypted passwords and the IP you used to register with.
While your password was encrypted (MD5 hash with salt), this kind of encryption
is unfortunately not very difficult to crack these days. You should consider
your password compromised.
The most important thing right now is that if you used your AnimeSuki forum
password on any other site, you need to change it immediately, even if you
didn't log into the AnimeSuki forum recently.
We have also invalidated all existing passwords on the AnimeSuki Forum. This
means that to login you will need to reset your password using this link:

If you don't know which email address you used to register your account with,
it is the email address we used to send this mail to you: animesukiemailsubscription.hello@blogger.com
(if you already logged in today, you don't need to reset your password again)
The AnimeSuki Forum staff deeply regrets that this has happened. We have taken
steps to hopefully be able to prevent it from happening again.
However we recommend you do not re-use passwords on any site. A password
manager such as LastPass, KeePass or 1Password might make it easier to keep
track of passwords.
As the attackers were also able to obtain your email address you may need to be
cautious about emails you receive in the future, as we can't rule out the
attackers may try to send you phishing emails. Never click on any link or button
in an email that asks you to verify or update your account. Instead type the
address manually in the address bar or use a bookmark.
